Harassment
I’ve been reading this sexual harassment law in the US and I found myself looking at the present laws in our country. It is pretty sad that we don’t take this things seriously as American do. In the workplaces here, people are often heard with sexual comments and green jokes and that is nothing. In the states, from what I heard, they have this kinds of sexual harassments.
Verbal – this includes hearing other people talk about another person in a sexual way. This is very normal to us. We often talk about our sexual adventures or even how we perceive other people sexually regardless if we’re in a public place.
Visual- this includes bringing those mags in the office and other people seeing it. As simple as that, you can be reported to authorities.
Physical- common type and here, unless a person squeeze you booty you won’t complain but there, even simple
will be a harassment.
Here in our country these are often overlooked. See, in that article I’ve read, it really doesn’t matter what the intention of the doer of the action, what matters is how the receiver perceives it. In short, if your officemate don’t like to be patted and you did, good luck you’re on for a lawsuit.

korek! How I wish we have that kind of law here in the phil. As for us filipinos talking about sexual things are so entertaining, but maybe there is a limit to that type of conversation. I guess people should learn to speak up if other people are talking too much about sexual things.
